This girl's apron has been made for a local girl and daughter of a friend on mine. I am so pleased with the finished look and am really glad I waited for the perfect match with the fabric's. It really makes a difference when you take the time and get it right ( hard lesson for me)P.S cant this picture the right way up for some reason.....

works of art

I recently attended a sewing class for my Janome to help me get to know the machine a little better ( more of that later) and the room was full of these hat mould's. I just thought they were so beautiful in there own right. There are so many different style's and lovely curves they really inspired me to try my hand at making hat's. Gosh..where will I find the time!

A weekend away...

You know how a dog's lives are supposed to be 7 to our 1? well i think blogger's lives are about the same. I have been away from my blogg for a whole weekend and i have so much to catch up on .

I spent my birthday weekend In one of the most beautiful places on earth..grand statement I know but I have been to a few places on earth so I feel I can say this. It Is called Crackington Haven and It truly Is a special place.

Seven of us were in a cabin for the weekend and It didn't feel cramped at all. Not even the occasional downpour dampened our spirits. We didn't miss the television we just loved every minute.

The perfect morning view.

Drying out our very wet coat's. A surprisingly peaceful breakfast together.

Messing, pottering
and exploring...

pretty in pink

I have recently tried out a new pattern for an apron and I am really pleased with the result.

I have used a lovely red spot for the trim which sets It off perfectly.
